About CSO

Why CSO

Science is both, a body of knowledge and a process. It is a way of discovering what's in the universe and how those things work today, how they worked in the past, and how they are likely to work in the future. Scientists are motivated by the thrill of seeing or figuring out something that no one has before.

Science is useful and the knowledge generated by science is powerful. It can be used to develop new technologies, treat diseases, and deal with many other modern day problems. Science is ongoing, continually refining and expanding our knowledge and as it does, it leads to new questions for future investigation. Science will never be "finished". Science is a global human endeavor in continuity. People all over the world have been participating in the process of developing science thus the world. And you can too!

CSO exam is conducted to bring science to life, to show how science works, to emphasize problem solving aspects of science and the understanding of science concepts.

Eligibility

Students of Classes 3,4,5,6 - All boards followed by NCERT syllabus.

Exam Details

This exam will be conducted in the school premises of the respective schools.

The medium of the test will be English.

There will be a different question paper for each class.

All the questions are of the objective-type with no negative marking for wrong answers.

Syllabus

All Olympiad syllabus will be based on the NCERT Text books. Catalyst Olympiad question papers are suitable for students following CBSE/ICSE/ISC and various other state boards. for syllabus
